Bristol is a port city in south-west England, built around its floating harbour and split by the River Avon. Both races follow an urban route that takes in the waterside, the main city centre roads and residential districts further out. The course is entirely on tarmac, with a number of rises that reflect the hilly character of the city.
1 km and the 10K. 40am. The race belongs to the AJ Bell Great Run series and entries are already open, which leaves plenty of time to build a full training block over several months.
