Terms of sale
What we sell, what we promise, what we do not promise, and what you can do if something goes wrong. These terms govern distance sales to consumers and are subject to the French Consumer Code and the French Civil Code.
1Purpose and acceptance
These terms of sale govern the sale, by ELEONIS (“Eleonis”, “we”), of the services presented on eleonis.com to anyone ordering them (“you”, “the customer”).
They are available at any time on the site, in each language it offers, and are accepted through a separate tick box before payment. That acceptance is recorded with its date. The applicable terms are those in force on the day of the order; we send you a copy with the confirmation.
No special condition prevails over these terms without our written acceptance.

- Your answers to the four questions asked before payment for the Start package (goal, date, level, sessions per week); your template plan is built from them.

- All deliverables: plan, pace references and, if you give your maximum heart rate, heart-rate references, in-race nutrition and hydration plan, race dossier, depending on the package chosen.
- Athlete space
- The private area, reached with a username and password, where you fill in your training profile, find your plan and, for Essential and Complete, manage your subscription.
- Support period
- The period during which we adjust your documents and answer your messages, as defined by the package chosen.
4What we sell
The packages, their detailed content and their prices are described on the Plans and pricing page of the site, which forms part of these terms. In short:
- Start — a single payment: a template plan for your goal, built automatically from your Start answers, based on your level and your number of sessions, up to your race (twenty weeks at most) or for an eight-week block without a race. It is not updated.
- Essential — a subscription: your plan all the way to your goal, built automatically from your training profile, without review, updated automatically when you change your profile, then the next block; access to the athlete space and the session log.
- Complete — a subscription comprising the plan built from your training profile and reviewed by a person, pace references and, if you give your maximum heart rate, heart-rate references, its adjustments through the preparation, message support, access to the athlete space, and Fuel and Race as described below. Complete does not, to date, include any analysis of your watch data.
- The term, renewal and cancellation of Essential and Complete are set out in the article “Essential and Complete subscriptions”.
- Fuel — included in Complete, at no extra charge: carbohydrate, water and sodium per hour, sweat-test protocol, gut training.
- Race — included in Complete, at no extra charge: paces by segment, scenarios, aid stations, race-day card.
Documents are supplied digitally, in English, French, Spanish, German or Italian depending on the language of your order. Nothing is shipped physically.
The examples published on the site, and in particular the “Sample” page, use a fictional athlete and invented figures. They show the shape of the documents, never an expected result nor contractual content.
5Information before you order
Before any order, the site gives you: the essential characteristics of each service, its price including all taxes, payment and delivery terms, the date or period by which we undertake to supply the documents, the existence and terms of the right of withdrawal, the existence of the legal guarantees, our contact details and the complaint and mediation procedure.
That information forms part of the contract. A copy of these terms, on a durable medium, is emailed to you with the order confirmation.
Compatibility and interoperability
The documents can be read on any device with an up-to-date web browser or a PDF reader. The athlete space works on current versions of the usual browsers, on desktop and phone, and most of its content remains readable without JavaScript. No paid software is needed. No technical protection measure is applied to the documents.
6How an order works
- You choose your package and, for Essential and Complete, your billing period: monthly or yearly. For Start, you answer the four questions for the template plan.
- You create your account, or sign in to the one you already have.
- A summary shows you the package, the billing, the price, the free month if it applies and, for a subscription, the date of the first charge; for Start, the date on which your template plan will be available. There you accept these terms and the privacy policy, and you can request immediate performance (see the article “Right of withdrawal”).
- The “Pay” button takes you to the secure Stripe payment page. If you leave it, nothing is charged and you return to your summary.
- The order is formed, and the contract concluded, when payment is received, for the Start package. For the Essential and Complete packages, the contract is concluded when you take out the subscription, that is, when you confirm your order and register your payment method: for the monthly subscription, no amount is charged at that point if your first month is free; for the yearly subscription, the annual amount is charged at that point. In both cases we send you confirmation by email, on a durable medium.
You can correct an input error at any time before payment, by going back to the previous steps. After payment for Essential or Complete, you fill in your training profile in your athlete space: your plan is built from it. Start does not ask for a profile: your template plan is built from your Start answers. If you are returning after an injury or declare pain, your profile shows you a warning: the decision to return is yours, and Eleonis never decides a return to running.
7Prices and taxes
Prices are shown on the site in the currency of the language version you are reading, inclusive of all taxes, with no extra charge of any kind. The price that applies is the one shown in the summary you confirm before paying.
VAT not applicable, Article 293 B of the French General Tax Code.
We may change our prices at any time. A change has no effect on orders already concluded.
8Payment
Payment is made by card, through Stripe, an authorised payment services provider. The Start package gives rise to a single payment: no recurring charge, no renewal. The Essential and Complete packages are subscriptions, the terms of which are set out in the next article.
We neither see nor keep your card number: it goes straight to Stripe, on a secure page. We only receive confirmation of payment, which Stripe sends us directly: it, and it alone, opens your athlete space.
An invoice is emailed to you. For all packages, preparation starts on the start date shown in the confirmation: as soon as the order is confirmed if you requested immediate performance, otherwise at the end of the fourteen-day withdrawal period. For the Start package, it does not start until payment has been received.
9Essential and Complete subscriptions: term, renewal, cancellation
This article concerns the Essential and Complete packages. The Start package is a one-off purchase and is subject to no renewal.
Term and first month
The subscription is taken out, as you choose, for a period of one month or one year. For the monthly subscription, the first month is free on your first subscription to a monthly package, Essential or Complete; a Start purchase does not count. It is not if you subscribe again, except when you reactivate after a stop, if no plan has been delivered to you yet: the first instalment is then charged when you subscribe. During the free month, no amount is charged; if you cancel before it ends, you pay nothing. The yearly subscription has no free month: it is paid in one go, when you subscribe, for twelve months.
For the monthly subscription, the first instalment is charged at the end of the free month, or when you subscribe if it does not apply; for the yearly subscription, the annual amount is charged when you subscribe. Those amounts are the ones shown in the summary you confirmed.
Automatic renewal
The subscription renews automatically at each due date, for a period of the same length, for as long as you have not cancelled it.
For the annual subscription, under Article L215-1 of the French Consumer Code, we inform you in writing, at the earliest three months and at the latest one month before the end of the current period, that you may choose not to renew your subscription. For the monthly subscription, that information window has no purpose: the period lasts one month, and you can cancel at any time before the next due date, without notice. We remind you of every due date by email before the charge is taken. If the renewal information for the annual subscription has not been sent to you within that window, you may end the subscription free of charge, at any time from the renewal date; amounts charged after that date are refunded to you within thirty days, less what was performed up to the cancellation.
Cancellation
The subscription has no minimum term. You can cancel it at any time, without giving reasons and at no cost. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period (or the free month); nothing further is charged after that. The documents already supplied remain yours.
Under Article L215-1-1 of the French Consumer Code and Decree no. 2023-417 of 31 May 2023, cancellation can be carried out online, as simply as taking the subscription out: the “My subscription” section, always reachable from the header of your athlete space, “Cancel my subscription” button. A summary shows you what stops and the effective date before you confirm; while the period is running, you can undo your cancellation from the same section. You can also write to us at support@eleonis.com: both routes have the same effect. We send you an acknowledgement on a durable medium, stating the date on which it takes effect.
Changing packages
After a Start purchase, you can take out Essential or Complete at any time from your space; your Start answers pre-fill your training profile. To move from Essential to Complete (or the other way round), or from monthly to yearly, you cancel your current subscription, then take out the new package at the end of the current period: no period is charged twice.
Price changes
We may change the price of the subscription. You are told at least one month before the date it takes effect. If the new price does not suit you, you can cancel before that date: your subscription ends at the end of the current period, at the previous price.
Failed payment
If an instalment cannot be charged, we tell you by email, and Stripe automatically presents it again for fifteen days at most. If payment has not been made by the end of that period, the subscription is suspended: no new documents or follow-up, and no further instalment is charged, until you settle it from your athlete space. You can also cancel at any time.
10Supply of the documents
Documents are supplied electronically, in the athlete space and to the email address you gave.
Start: your template plan is published automatically in your space as soon as your order starts — as soon as payment is confirmed if you requested immediate performance, otherwise at the end of the fourteen-day withdrawal period. This publication is the delivery.
Essential: your plan is published automatically in your space as soon as you submit your training profile, or at the start if that is later. This publication is the delivery, except in the cases provided for in the article “If your plan cannot be prepared”. It is then updated automatically when you change your profile, and the next block is published at the end of the current block.
Complete: as soon as your order starts, your space offers you a first version of your plan, generated automatically from your answers. A person reviews and adjusts it, then we publish a reviewed version no later than seven days after you submit your profile (or after the start, if that is later). This reviewed version is the delivery within the meaning of these terms, except in the cases provided for in the article “If your plan cannot be prepared”. If you did not request immediate performance, we only start at the end of the fourteen-day withdrawal period. The start date is shown in the order confirmation and in your space; the date of the reviewed version, in your space as soon as you submit your profile.
If we fail to supply within that period, you may require us to do so within an additional reasonable period; failing that, you may terminate the contract and be refunded within fourteen days, under Articles L216-2 to L216-6 of the French Consumer Code.
11What we expect from you
Our documents are only as good as what you tell us. By ordering, you undertake to:
- give accurate, complete and current information, and tell us of any change during the support period;
- be an adult with legal capacity to contract;
- be in a state of health compatible with running, and to have sought the opinion of a health professional where needed — in particular after a previous problem, during ongoing treatment, during pregnancy, or when coming back from a long break;
- keep your login details safe and tell us immediately if you suspect they have been compromised;
- send us only data that belongs to you, and send us no medical document;
- not resell, publish, share or distribute the documents.
Eleonis gives no medical advice, does not replace a doctor or a physiotherapist, and does not decide a return to running after an injury.
If you are returning after an injury or declare pain, you decide for yourself whether to return to running or to keep running. Some injuries deserve to be seen by a health professional before you resume. You undertake to stop a session as soon as pain appears or gets worse, and to tell us about it.
If you have any doubt about your health, especially your heart, see a doctor before you start or increase your training.
Inaccurate or missing information can make the documents unsuitable. We are not liable for that, but we correct it free of charge as soon as you tell us.
12If your plan cannot be prepared
If your plan cannot be prepared before it is first delivered because your consent to the processing of your health data has not been given or has been withdrawn — without it, no health answer can be processed — we let you know in your space and in writing.
For the Essential and Complete subscriptions: if the situation has not changed forty-eight hours after we let you know, your subscription is stopped no later than the date shown in your space, and everything you paid is refunded to you within fourteen days; you can also stop it yourself right away from your space. Your profile is kept: once your plan can be prepared, you reactivate your subscription in one click, with, for the monthly subscription, the first month free if no plan has been delivered to you yet.
The Start package asks for no health data: this article does not apply to it. For an order of the former single-payment Essential package, you choose to wait, without paying anything more, or to be refunded in full within fourteen days.
After your first plan has been delivered, if your plan can no longer be adjusted for this reason, we let you know in writing; you can cancel at any time. The price of the current period remains payable; the documents already supplied remain yours.
13Free access
Eleonis may offer, by personal invitation, free access to the Complete offer. This access involves no payment and you are not asked for any bank details. It has no fixed term: Eleonis may end it by notifying you by email at least seven days in advance. You can end it yourself at any time from your space. When the free access ends, you can take out the Complete subscription on the terms then in force; nothing is charged without your express subscription. Without a subscription, your space remains available read-only. The other articles of these terms apply, except those concerning price, payment and the right of withdrawal.
14Right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer, you have fourteen days from the conclusion of the contract to withdraw, without giving reasons and without penalty, under Articles L221-18 et seq. of the French Consumer Code.
How to exercise it
Simply write to support@eleonis.com before the period expires, with an unambiguous statement, or use the model form reproduced at the end of this document. We acknowledge your request without delay. The refund is made no later than fourteen days after we receive it, by the same means of payment you used, at no cost.
If you ask us to start straight away
Building a plan takes time, and most athletes want to start without waiting out the fourteen days. So, at the time of the order, we offer you the option of expressly requesting that performance begin immediately. That request is optional. It is collected through a separate tick box, never pre-ticked, and repeated in the order confirmation we send you.
- If you do not request immediate performance: we only start your plan once the fourteen days have passed. Your right of withdrawal stays intact throughout.
- If you request immediate performance: you keep your right of withdrawal throughout the fourteen-day period. If you withdraw after requesting an immediate start, you pay for the part of the service already supplied up to your withdrawal, pro rata to the price (Art. L221-25 of the French Consumer Code).
The case of the Essential and Complete subscriptions
For the Essential and Complete subscriptions, the fourteen-day period runs from the conclusion of the contract, that is, from the day you subscribe (the first day of the free month, for the monthly subscription). Renewal of a subscription already running does not open a new withdrawal period: it is not a new order. What applies then is cancellation, described above — at any time, without reasons and at no cost.
What we add of our own accord
Beyond the law, and whichever box you ticked: as long as we have not started building your plan, we refund you in full, on request. This commercial undertaking adds to your legal rights and does not replace them.
15Legal guarantees
We supply documents and services that conform to the contract. You have the benefit of the legal guarantee of conformity for digital content and digital services, under Articles L224-25-12 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, as well as the general law of contract.
- For a one-off supply, we are answerable for lack of conformity appearing within two years of supply.
- For a continuous supply — the support period, access to the athlete space — we are answerable for the whole duration provided for in the contract.
- Lack of conformity appearing within twelve months of supply is presumed to have existed at that time, unless proven otherwise: the burden is not on you.
- Where there is a lack of conformity, you may require it to be brought into conformity free of charge and without undue delay; if that is refused, impossible, late, or the problem persists, you may obtain a price reduction or termination of the contract.
These guarantees apply regardless of any commercial undertaking we may give elsewhere. To invoke them: support@eleonis.com.
16Health, fitness to train, and the limits of the service
We recommend seeking medical advice before starting a preparation, in particular if you are coming back from a break, are under treatment, have a history of heart or joint problems, or are pregnant.
You remain the sole judge of your own practice. Stop and seek advice if pain appears, persists or worsens, if you feel unwell, or if something feels wrong. Nothing in our documents should be followed against the advice of a health professional: where the two conflict, the professional’s advice prevails.
The watch-out flags the athlete space may show — a reported pain, an unusual perceived effort — are training signals, meant to make you ease off and, where appropriate, to lead you to consult. They are neither a medical alert, nor monitoring, nor a medical device within the meaning of Regulation (EU) 2017/745.
Eleonis supplies documents remotely and carries out no in-person sports teaching, leading or supervision. No session is directed, supervised or monitored by us, live or remotely.
17No guarantee of results
We commit to the quality and consistency of the documents we produce, to their fit with the information you give us, and to the timescales announced. That is an obligation of means.
We guarantee no race time, no performance, no ranking, no qualification and no measured gain in fitness. A result depends on many factors beyond us: your consistency, your sleep, your food, your working life, the weather on the day, the course, and luck.
A target time, a race scenario or a target pace are working objectives, not promises. Nothing on the site, in an email or in a document may be read as a guarantee of results.
18Athlete space
You create your personal account yourself when you order. It gives you access to the athlete space, where you fill in your training profile and, depending on the package, find your plan and manage your subscription. Your credentials are strictly personal: you are responsible for keeping them safe and for what is done with them. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.
We do everything we can to keep the space available, without guaranteeing uninterrupted availability. Interruptions may happen for maintenance, updates or a provider failure. Where possible, we give notice.
We may develop the athlete space, provided the change does not degrade the service provided for in the contract. Should a change have a more than minor negative effect on your access, we would tell you within a reasonable time and you could terminate the contract at no cost, under Article L224-25-25 of the French Consumer Code.
At the end of the support period your documents stay available for twelve months, after which the account is deleted. You can ask at any time for an export of your documents and your data.
19Intellectual property and personal use
The documents remain our intellectual property. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and non-assignable right of use, for as long as they are useful to you and for your own use only.
You may print them, annotate them and share them with a health professional or someone supporting you. You may not resell them, publish them, distribute them publicly, fold them into a commercial offer, or use them to train or feed an artificial intelligence system.
We publish no testimonial, no data and no result concerning you without your written, specific and revocable consent.
20Liability
We are liable under the general law, for direct loss resulting from a failure attributable to us.
If damage results from your own fault — for example continuing a session despite pain, contrary to the instructions — that fault is taken into account when responsibilities are assessed, in accordance with the general law.
21Force majeure
Neither party is liable for a failure caused by force majeure within the meaning of Article 1218 of the French Civil Code. Performance is suspended for the duration of the event; if it lasts more than thirty days, either party may terminate the contract, sums paid for a service not supplied being refunded.
22Suspension and termination
We may suspend or end the support period, after telling you and giving you the chance to explain, in the event of a serious breach: sharing or reselling the documents, fraudulent use of the account, abusive language, or an unlawful request.
In that case, services not supplied are refunded pro rata, unless the breach caused us loss we would be entitled to claim.
You may end the support period at any time. For the Essential and Complete subscriptions, cancellation as described in the article “Essential and Complete subscriptions: term, renewal, cancellation” applies. For Start, a simple email is enough; the plan already supplied remains payable. The case of a plan that cannot be prepared falls under the article “If your plan cannot be prepared”.
23Personal data
Processing of your data is described in the Privacy policy, which forms part of the contractual information. Data concerning health is processed only with your explicit consent, revocable at any time, and that withdrawal does not affect your right to terminate the contract.
24Complaints and mediation
If something goes wrong, write to us first at support@eleonis.com: we acknowledge receipt and undertake to give a reasoned answer. Most situations are settled at that stage.
If our answer does not satisfy you, or if no answer comes within two months, you may use a consumer mediator free of charge, under Articles L612-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code.
The European online dispute resolution platform closed for good on 20 July 2025: there is no longer any point referring to it. Consumers living in another Member State can turn to the European Consumer Centre in their country, or to the competent out-of-court dispute resolution body there.
25Governing law and competent court
These terms are governed by French law.
If you are a consumer living in another Member State of the European Union, that choice does not deprive you of any protection afforded by the mandatory rules of your country of residence, under Article 6 of Regulation (EC) no. 593/2008 (“Rome I”).
Failing an amicable solution, the dispute may be brought before the competent court. A consumer may choose between the court of the place where they lived when the contract was concluded or when the damaging event occurred, and the court of the place where we are established.
26Customers established outside the European Union
We sell from France. If you order from a country outside the European Union, in particular from the United States:
- the service is supplied and performed from France, and your data is processed there;
- any taxes, duties or withholdings due in your country are your responsibility;
- these terms remain governed by French law, without prejudice to any mandatory rules of your country of residence that are more favourable to you;
- distances and paces in the English documents are given in miles, prices in US dollars.
We do not sell to people living in a country subject to an embargo or sanctions measure applicable to our payment providers.
27Changes to these terms, and miscellaneous
We may change these terms. The version applying to an order is the one in force on the day of that order, as sent to you with the confirmation.
If a clause of these terms were held void or unwritten, the others would remain in force. Not relying on a breach is not a waiver of the right to rely on it later.
Electronic exchanges between us — emails, forms, connection logs — are an admissible means of proof between the parties, under Articles 1366 and 1367 of the French Civil Code.
The language of the contract is that of the site version you ordered from. Should the language versions be read differently, the French version prevails between the parties, without a consumer thereby losing any mandatory protection of their country of residence.
28Annex: model withdrawal form
You do not have to use this form: a clear email is enough. It is reproduced here because the law requires it (Article R221-1 of the French Consumer Code).
I hereby give notice of my withdrawal from the contract for the following service:
— Service ordered: …………………………………………
