The United Airlines NYC Half is New York's big spring road race. 0975 km course starts in Brooklyn, crosses the East River, climbs into Manhattan on closed avenues and passes through Times Square before finishing near Central Park. The atmosphere is that of a major city race, with near-continuous crowd support and the cold, often windy conditions of a New York March.
The race is run by New York Road Runners, the same organization behind the city marathon.
