The race starts and finishes at White Pine Beach in Belcarra Regional Park, east of Vancouver. The ground is classic coastal rainforest: narrow singletrack, roots, rock and damp footing under heavy tree cover. April keeps rain in the picture, and higher sections can still be muddy or slick on race morning.
One distance is offered: the 50K, with 2,000 m of vertical gain. The event is part of the Coast Mountain Trail Running series and shares its organizer with Squamish 50. For many runners in southwestern British Columbia it works as the first significant trail target of the season.
