The Sporting Life 10K Toronto is run on Yonge Street, the long north-south spine of the city. The course is entirely urban and paved, closed to traffic and pointing downhill toward the lake, with the atmosphere of a big, popular spring road race in the middle of downtown.
Two things define the event. The first is the profile: largely downhill, which makes it a well-known personal best course. The second is the cause, since the race raises money for Camp Oochigeas. Only one distance is offered, the 10K, so the whole field runs the same route. m. start.
