The route moves through city neighbourhoods and spends long stretches along the waterfront, with views across the bay to the North Shore peaks. Early May is mild but often wet, and mornings by the water stay cool at the start.
5K Kids Run held on Saturday May 1. m. Pacific time. This is the major destination race in Western Canada, and it is distinct from the Beneva Vancouver Half Marathon held in late June.
