The Cooper River Bridge Run starts in Mount Pleasant, crosses the Cooper River on the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge and finishes in historic downtown Charleston, South Carolina. The route is urban and fast, with one genuine obstacle: the long, steady climb onto the bridge deck, fully exposed to wind with nowhere to hide.
The race is run over 10 kilometres and draws a very wide field, from runners chasing a time to walkers. It is one of the biggest 10Ks in the United States.
